Retiring Coppermine
It is with sadness to officially retire my gallery wallpapers powered by Coppermine. Frankly Coppermine was just too vulnerable to attacks and the constant up-keep wasn’t worth its full functionality (that I never used).
But fear not, Coppermine is being replaced directly by WordPress. All your favorites can be found at: http://blog.thehua.com/wallpapers/
Coppermine had been a great component to this site, helping drive and retain traffic during the hay-days. Here’s a brief recap of gallery stats:
- Time of inception: Aug 2004
- Total albums: 5
- Total pictures: 303
- Total views: 1159412
- Max view of any single picture: 24068
- Max user concurrency: 34

My Sincere Apologies
Dear guests,
A few hours ago I discovered my entire website was compromised by a hacker. Through investigation, it was determined that malicious attack scripts were uploaded to my fully patched Coppermine gallery and executed on the server.
The result of those scripts was a very unfortunate iFrame script injection to all of my *.php files – thus impacting the blog, gallery, and a slew of other functions. What’s worse, the injected script redirected users to a malicious website that installed the Exploit-ByteVerify virus through running a Java applet.
I strongly urge you to update to the latest virusscan definitions and do a thorough scan of your system.
I have since taken measures to fully revert my website to a previous backup that is exploit free. Everything is now up and operational. Again I apologize for this unfortunate circumstance.

Server Move
After more than 3 years of hosting at micfo.com – I’ve finally decided to move to another service. Events at micfo are becoming more and more unstable and to-be-honest running a VPS is a pain in the ass. Instead, I’ll be moving to a reseller account to mitigate headaches and hopefully sustain higher uptimes. Please bare with me during these next few days as the transition takes place.

2007 – A Record Breaking Year
Another record breaking year for thehua.com blog! Over 310,000 unique visitors since 2004.

Some interesting site statistics since the last recap 2 years ago:
- With the least blogged year of only 23 posts, I expected a drastic downwards momentum. However this was clearly not the case.
- Gallery remains stagnent with only a few new images added. Total image view now accumulates to 1.12 million since 8/2004.
- This site serves out approximately 10gigs of traffic per month; primary shift is now on the blog with minor usage in gallery and saintseiya special archives
- Total google adsense impressions (gallery only) totals 2,726,000+ page impressions since 8/2004
